My name is Courtney and I'm a recent graduate from an art school in Chicago with a degree in Fiction Writing. This was a pretty risky decision based solely on my gut (and okay, my heart, too, but that just sounds cheesy) when it was screaming, "YOU LOVE WRITING! MAKE THIS YOUR LIFE!" But of course, everyone will tell you that getting a job in the art world is 'all about who you know' and I don't know very many people, yet. I'm constantly trying to prove to myself, and to my parents who have cosigned their life away to let me fulfill a dream of being an actual writer, that this path I chose was a correct one to sustain my life.
So why did I start this blog? As a practice in more writing. I currently have another blog called The Lit Girl, where I review and talk about my favorite things: books. I wanted to start this blog to talk about other things. I do a lot of things besides reading. I go out to a lot awesome galleries and restaurants and vintage stores. I watch a lot of TV shows and movies. I like snacking and getting my nails done. Basically: I just want to talk about MORE. And sure, this could also be to prove that I can write about things other than books, but it's also because I just want to share more things with everyone. It's hard to pin down what kind of blog this will be. Personal/lifestyle? Review? All kinds?
Hopefully you like the things I share with you, and hopefully this will blossom into something useful, and hopefully one day I will share the news that I finally finished a book or achieved some other awesome goal that is fantastic in the world of writers.
